The remaining weeks in each team's schedule are used for out-of-conference play. Each school plays a total of eight conference games including six teams from within their SEC division, one rotating opponent from the other division, and one permanent cross-divisional rival. BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (September 20, 2022) - The Southeastern Conference today announced the football schedules for all 14 SEC schools for the 2023 season. Teams Auburn Tigers, Auburn, Alabama, Plainsman Park Florida Gators, Gainesville, Florida, McKethan Stadium Georgia Bulldogs, Athens, Georgia, Foley Field. The foundation of the SEC came from thirteen members of the Southern Conference who left to form their own conference. In 1932, 13 members of the Southern Conference, located west and south of the Appalachian Mountains, departed to form the Southeastern Conference. The SEC consists of fourteen members and is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The SEC is comprised of Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
